Filming for the unnamed action movie from The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend will begin this week in South Carolina, marking Jonathan Majors’ first project in four years. The director of Run Hide Fight, Kyle Rankin, is working from his own screenplay.
The scenario is reportedly reminiscent of the 1980s and 1990s thrilling films Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, which both featured gangs of young men who had to work together to defeat encroaching forces. However, the name, narrative, and other cast members are currently kept secret.
Afterwards, roles in films like The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Creed III, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Magazine Dreams, as well as television shows like the HBO supernatural series Lovecraft Country, Majors’ career was booming.
However, after being found guilty in 2023 of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, he was dismissed from several endeavors. The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend aren’t shying away from assisting in reviving the careers of performers who have been “cancelled.”
Since then, the actor has been rehabilitating, and we initially revealed in the summer of 2024 that he would be starring in Martin Villeneuve’s horrific revenge thriller Merciless.
The new film for The Daily Wire is being executive produced by Caleb Robinson, Mike Richards, Majors for Tall Street Productions, and Jason Ramos (Landman).
