Actress Victoria Justice recently shared details about filming an intimate sex scene for the first time in her career. The scene was shot on the very first day of filming the movie Depravity.
Justice, 31, admitted she was “totally anxious” and nervous leading up to filming the sex scene. “I was like, ‘Did I make the wrong choice? I don’t know if I should do this,'” she recalled thinking at the time.
However, the director Paul Tamasy, who also wrote the script, put Justice at ease. He showed her the plan for the scene and said changes could be made if she was uncomfortable.
“It’s really not sexy,” Justice said about filming sex scenes in general. “It’s uncomfortable honestly. And there’s like a bunch of random dudes in the room breathing and watching you.”
Justice did not name her costar for the intimate scene, but said he was “a super nice guy” who made her feel safe and respected during the filming process. She said the scene ultimately came out “tasteful.”
The Victorious star’s costars in the upcoming crime drama Depravity include Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney. The film centers around a group of tenants who suspect their neighbor is a serial killer.
Despite her initial nerves, Justice had “faith and trust” in Tamasy’s vision. She credited him and her costar for helping make the sex scene filming go smoothly for her first experience with that type of scene.
