Lindsay Lohan’s most famous movie might not have meant all good for her after all. The new Mean Girls movie has a nasty reminder of the actor’s past. The film contains a minute reference to Brandon Davis’s infamous incident of maligning Lindsay Lohan, calling her a “fire crotch.”
In the movie, Megan Thee Stallion says for Cady (played by Angourie Rice), “Y2K fire crotch is back!” The phrase is seen as a direct reference to a then popular paparazzi video of Brandon Davis and Paris Hilton. Davis, an oil heir, calls Lohan a slew of cringe-worthy names and things, and among them was ‘fire crotch.’ Behind him, a laughing Hilton follows.
A representative of Lohan said to the media, “Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film.” According to The Messenger, Lohan was “surprised and taken aback,” about the scene at the premiere in New York. Lohan makes a cameo at the end of the film, which was met with a ravenous response. She only shot for half a day, and very few people knew about her appearance.
Mean Girls doesn’t differ much from the original story, and also includes returning cast members. Screenwriter and producer of the movie, Tina Fey, is back as math teacher Ms. Norbury. Rachel McAdams’s cultural icon, Regina George, is now played by Renee Rapp. McAdams played George and The Notebook’s Allie Calhoun in the same year – talk about range!
No comments have been made by Fey or Paramount Pictures in response to Lohan’s statement. Lohan hasn’t been acting as much since her 2000s reign, but has a few films to her name up till now. She welcomed a son with husband Bader Shammas in 2023, and primarily lives in Dubai. She will next be seen in Netflix’s Irish Wish later this year.
