It is anticipated that Heated Rivalry will make a comeback on OTT 2027. On CBS Mornings on Thursday, chief executive Brendan Brady and show composer Jacob Tierney spoke with Gayle King about the much-awaited second season of the program.
According to Tierney, the second season is already being written and will begin filming in August. According to King, the program is anticipated to make a comeback in 2027. According to Tierney, “there will be more Heated Rivalry on your TVs as soon as humanly possible.”
“Like the best parts of this show,” Brady continued, adding that viewers should “enjoy the yearn” of the following season. Brady and Tierney have long argued in favor of treating the narrative and its followers with respect.
Prior to the show’s launch, Tierney told The Hollywood Reporter, “This is what I told Rachel [Reid] — the thing I want to do with it is take it seriously, which is to say I don’t want to do what I think a lot of people do when they look at adapting romance, which is simplify, truncate, shorten.
Brady continued, “(We) wanted to elevate this to the level that it deserved.” A fictitious hockey realm based on Reid’s works is the focus of Heated Rivalry, a Canadian streamer produced by Crave and available on HBO Max in the United States.
The show centers on two opposing professional athletes, Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) of the fictional Boston Raiders and Canada-born Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) of the Montreal Metros, as they negotiate a situationship that turns into a romance that lasts almost ten years.
