Filming for Batman Part II is presently set to start in the UK in April, and the project is rapidly coming together. Since the release of The Batman in 2022, the sequel has been long overdue. The interval between sequels is a staggering five years or more. Hollywood North Buzz reports that Matt Reeves’ DC comeback will be filmed under the tentative title “Vengeance 2.” The working title for The Batman was, as could have been anticipated, “Vengeance.”
“We worked exceptionally hard to tell a story worthy of the character,” Mattson Tomlin, the author of The Batman Part II, wrote in response to a fan around the same minute this news was released. “Something that feels new and dangerous. The bar couldn’t be higher.”
“Looking forward to people seeing it and being able to talk about it at length,” commented Tomlin, who contributed to the original film but was not given formal credit. “Can’t begin to describe what this film means to me.”
He went on to say, “We did our actual, literal, pushed beyond the limit best.” The Batman concluded by laying the groundwork for what appeared to be a collaboration with The Joker and The Riddler. Many fans, however, were disappointed that Reeves appeared to be focusing on two antagonists who have gotten a lot of screen time over time.
It’s like The Dark Knight from 2008, when the Clown Prince of Crime is the main character in Batman: Part II. Although it no longer appears to be the idea, Two-Face, his father, and his wife have all been featured in the film, so we are probably going to get him.
Two-Face had a little role in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins sequel. There may be some major surprises if Gilda Dent, the comics’ “Holiday Killer,” also takes center stage (rumors or theories suggest that Phantasm and Jeremiah Arkham are all going to make an appearance).
