Charli XCX is getting ready for another exciting movie production. Variety has heard that new cast members and a narrative have been revealed for her upcoming film with Japanese horror mastermind Takashi Miike. Additionally, a sales business has joined the project.
Charli will be joined on screen by Milly Alcock, the “House of the Dragon” breakout who will shortly appear in “Supergirl,” as well as Sho Kasamatsu (“Tokyo Vice”) and Kiko Mizuhara (“Ride or Die”).
In addition, Norman Reedus is now part of the ensemble.
The story of the film, which was written by Ross Evans and is now named “Untitled Kyoto Project,” centers on three friends who get together in Kyoto, Japan, only to have their vacation turn into an impending doom when Charli’s character becomes possessed by a tormented soul.
The Veterans and CAA Media Finance are managing sales for the movie, which is being produced by Charli’s firm Studio365 and is currently on its way to Berlin for the European Film Market. It’s going to be a really hot bundle considering the quality of the project and Charli’s quickly demonstrated success breaking into the movie industry with “The Moment.”
