With a good mix of anticipated blockbuster franchise titles, alluring genre pictures, and new projects from directors like Christopher Nolan and Steven Spielberg, 2026 looks to be fairly fantastic. That’s not all, though. Dive into the calendar of the most anticipated movies for 2026.

Wuthering Heights (13th February 2026)

The forthcoming film centers on Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel of the same name. It features Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Hong Chau, Margot Robbie, and Jacob Elordi. Robbie’s LuckyChap and MRC are also producers. Heathcliff (Elordi)  and Kathy (Robby) are involved in a stormy romantic affair in the moors of England. They both become romantic pioneers of passion and romance after their tragic fallout.

The Bride! (March 6)

An unexpected sequel to Frankenstein, helmed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Dr. Euphronious, a pioneering scientist in Chicago in the 1930s, resurrects a deceased young woman to serve as Frankenstein’s monster’s girlfriend. Neither of them could have predicted what would happen next. Christian Bale, Penélope Cruz, Annette Bening, John Magaro, and Julianne Hough are starring alongside Jessie Buckley.

Project Hail Mary (March 20, 2026)

The immensely popular book-turned-movie is based on Andy Weir’s New York Times best-selling novel. Viewers will travel far beyond the solar system on a quest to preserve civilization in The Martian, Amazon MGM Studios’ Project Hail Mary. Drew Goddard wrote the screenplay, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and starring Ryan Gosling. It revolves around Ryland Grace, a former scientist and school teacher who awakens on a spacecraft suffering from amnesia.

The Drama (April 3, 2026)

The story focuses on a happy, engaged couple whose impending marriage is abruptly threatened by a shocking discovery. British Museum director Charlie Thompson (Pattinson) and publishing house employee Emma Harwood (Zendaya) meet with an accredited photographer for their wedding photos, but they are not able to convey their true joy. Producers include Tyler Campellone, Lars Knudsen, and Ari Aster.

Michael (April 24, 2026)

The first teaser for Lionsgate’s eagerly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, “Michael,” which stars MJ’s nephew Jaafar Jackson, was unveiled. The movie chronicles Michael Jackson’s life outside of music, following his journey from the discovery of his remarkable skill as the lead member of the Jackson Five to the brilliant artist whose artistic ambition drove a persistent quest to become the world’s biggest singer.

The Mandalorian and Grogu (May 22, 2026)

Pedro Pascal plays the Mandalorian (Din Djarin), who wanders the galaxy with his small ward Grogu ( Baby Yoda), in this movie, which is a spinoff of Disney+’s The Mandalorian television series. Pedro Pascal plays Din Djarin/The Mandalorian in the film, which also features Sigourney Weaver, Jonny Coyne, and Jeremy Allen White.

Disclosure Day (June 12, 2026)

“If you found out we weren’t alone—if someone showed you, proved it to you—would that frighten you?” is the film’s fundamental question. In contrast to Close Encounters of the Third Kind’s exclusive desert gatherings, Jurassic Park author David Koepp’s Disclosure Day examines a worldwide reckoning. The marketing slogan, “The truth belongs to seven billion people,” implies a narrative that is responsible for the social and psychological repercussions of the government’s revelation.

Masters of the Universe (June 5, 2026)

The movie centers on 10-year-old Prince Adam, who lost his mystical Power Sword—the only connection to his home on Eternia—after crashing to Earth in a spaceship. Prince Adam is transported back across space to protect his home world from Skeletor’s evil armies after discovering it nearly twenty years later.  Chris Butler wrote the screenplay for the movie, directed by Travis Knight. David Callaham, Aaron, and Adam Nee wrote the first draft.

Toy Story 5 (June 19, 2026)

In Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” the toys are back, but this time they’re crossing into the Techno world. When Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the crew are introduced to what kids are currently infatuated with—electronics—their occupations are put to the test.

Supergirl (June 26, 2026)

Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, unwillingly teams up with an unlikely ally on an epic, interplanetary quest for justice and retribution as an unexpected and vicious enemy hits too close to home. It will be the second DC Universe (DCU) movie, helmed by Craig Gillespie and authored by Ana Nogueira. In addition to Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa, Milly Alcock plays Kara Zor-El/Supergirl.

The Odyssey (July 17, 2026)

A Nolan’s piece awaited. One of the most lasting and significant pieces of Western literature is The Odyssey. This 24-book epic poem is traditionally credited to the ancient Greek poet Homer. It is thought to have been written in the eighth century BCE. It tells the story of Odysseus, ruler of Ithaca, and his arduous journey home following the destruction of Troy.  Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Lupita Nyong’o, Mia Goth, Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, and Benny Safdie make up a solid cast.

Spider-Man Brand New Day (July 31, 2026)

Tom Holland is returning to theatres. Peter Parker makes an effort to set Spider-Man aside and concentrate on his studies. But when a fresh threat puts his friends in jeopardy, he has to break his word and get back into action, joining forces with an unlikely ally to defend the people he cares about. Peter is anticipated to encounter Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher this time.

The Dog Stars (Aug. 28, 2026)

The film follows Hig (Elordi), a civilian pilot, and an experienced ex-marine (Brolin) as they deal with invaders and the prospect of a better life outside of their current residence in the wake of a devastating flu outbreak that almost wiped out humanity.  It is being adapted from Peter Heller’s 2012 novel. It will be helmed by Ridley Scott and written by Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson.

Sense and Sensibility ( September 11, 2026)

Diana Reid wrote the script for Sense and Sensibility, which is being directed by Georgia Oakley. The novel revolves around the destitute Dashwood family and depicts the romantic adventures of sisters Marianne and Elinor as they, together with their widowed mother, negotiate life for the formerly affluent family following the deaths of the husband and father.

Clayface ( September 11, 2026)

Clayface is a forthcoming body horror flick centered on the DC Comics villain of the same name. It will be the sixth chapter of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters and the third movie in the DC Universe. Arthur Mintz is the director, and Matthew Aldrich is the writer of that film. Harris, Reeves, and Theresa Andersson are the producers. Along with Nong as EP, Gunn and Safran are also producing.

Digger ( October 2, 2026)

Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s devastating comedy. The movie’s central idea is summarized as follows: the world’s most powerful guy causes a catastrophe and sets out to prove that he is humanity’s savior. Tom Cruise, Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Robert John Burke, Burn Gorman, Michael Stuhlbarg, and John Goodman are among the ensemble cast members of the movie.

Street Fighter (October 16, 2026)

The enigmatic Chun-Li (Callina Liang) enlists the alienated Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) for the upcoming World Warrior Tournament in 1993, a vicious battle of fists, destiny, and rage. However, a deadly conspiracy is hidden underneath this war royale, forcing them to confront the demons of their past as well as one another

Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026)

There is definitely some solid information, but the specifics of the story are still very much under wraps. The earlier version of the movie (more on that later) would start the current Multiverse Saga’s conclusion, according to Marvel Studios. That plot line at least hints at what would happen in Doomsday, even though it ended up being less clear-cut than the search for the Infinity Stones.

Dune: Part Three (December 18, 2026)

Based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 book Dune Messiah. Dune Part Three chronicles Paul Atreides’ battles with the fallout from his Fremen-led crusade after becoming Emperor Muad’Dib. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, and Josh Brolin are among the cast members of Dune: Part Three. Denis Villeneuve is the director, while Linus Sandgren is the DP.
