Kirsten Dunst is part of the cast of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary’s unnamed Minecraft movie follow-up. Dunst is scheduled to portray Alex, one of the principal characters in Mojang Studios’ Minecraft computer games, which serve as the basis for the movie.
She follows recurring cast members Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Matt Berry, and Jennifer Coolidge.
While the plot of the sequel remains a mystery, the initial screening introduced popcorn fans to four rebels — Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Brooks) — who find one another contending with seemingly standard ailments when they are suddenly drawn through an unnamed doorway into the Overworld.
The expedition encourages all five to be courageous and reconnect with their distinct creative characteristics, which are essential for success in contemporary life.
A Minecraft Film was one of the greatest pictures of last year, grossing a record $163 million domestically — the highest ever for a video game version — and nearly $1 billion globally.
