The movie features Brad Pitt’s character, Cliff Booth, and is a follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Quentin Tarantino authored the screenplay, while David Fincher is the director. Timothy Olyphant, Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Carla Gugino are among the cast members.
The movie and Greta Gerwig’s Narnia adaptation are part of Netflix’s 2026 lineup. On November 26, that movie will get a limited IMAX release in 90 countries. The Adventures of Cliff Booth’s confirmed theatrical release date has not been disclosed.
“There is Warner Bros theatrical distribution, and then there’s Netflix, which we’ve been in a different business,” stated Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria during the Next on Netflix conference. “I don’t want you to conflate the two.”
Netflix Film Chairman Dan Lin added, “We are a streaming-first company. The strategy works really well for us. We’re looking to do special things in theatrical, but just give us some time. The Warner Bros deal just ended as far as our participations, and we had the Academy Awards.”
