The next film in Universal’s The Mummy franchise, starring Oscar winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, is scheduled for release on May 19, 2028. No additional wide entrants are scheduled for that date; the university had the date set aside for a film event

The two were negotiating to star in the film,  Radio Silence, whose plot is still unknown, based on a screenplay by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan, Orphan: First Kill).

Fraser featured in the first three Mummy films, including Mummy, Mummy Returns, and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). Weisz starred in the first two Mummy films, The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001).
