Well-known novelist Neil Gaiman is the subject of a judicial inquiry in New Zealand after two women he had mutual relationships with accused him of sexual abuse. The writer has denied the accusations, stating that they are the result of “false memories.” The accusations were raised in Tortoise’s just-issued four-sequence podcast, Master: the Allegations Against Neil Gaiman. The women assert that they had “rough and degrading sex” with the novelist in that, and that their liaisons were occasionally not mutual.
Scarlett, a 23-year-old woman, was one of the people who looked after his kid as a babysitter. She said that in February 2022, just a few hours after their initial meeting, Gaiman attacked her while she was taking a bath at his New Zealand residence. In a span of three-week erotic engagements, Gaiman said to the site, he and Scarlett exclusively indulged in cyber intercourse during their mutual “cuddles” and “makeouts” in the bathtub.
According to the Tortoise’s account of their investigation, Scarlett alleges that in addition to the voluntary acts of sexual abuse, Gaiman reportedly subjected her to non-consensual “rough and degrading penetrative sexual acts.” She passed out during one episode because the agony “was so painful and so violent.” She described the discomfort as “celestial.” She claimed on the podcast, through The Telegraph, that when she requested him to stop, “he laughed and said I needed to be punished and used his belt on me.” Gaiman refuted Tortoise’s accusation.
The subsequent woman, K, was eighteen when she first met Neil Gaiman in 2003 during a novel signing in Sarasota, Florida. Given an excruciating infection, K claims that despite her desire for him to refrain, “Gaiman penetrated her,” according to the initial investigating outlet. Tortoise’s inquiry revealed that K failed to submit a report to the authorities. In October 2022, Scarlett made a report to the police in New Zealand.
In response, Neil Gaiman disputed the claims that he had non-consensual intercourse with both women. He conveyed his concern for Scarlett’s accusations while refuting any illegal actions he may have taken with her. Scarlett’s incident had initially been reported to the New Zealand law enforcement, who have since opened an inquiry. Gaiman offered to help the New Zealand officials with Scarlett’s accusation; however, they turned him down, stating that their investigation was still underway.
