According to Tom Hardy, his 16-year-old son Louis takes an active interest in his acting career and even offers critiques of his performances. However, the “Venom” actor shared that Louis doesn’t explicitly state whether he likes a particular film or not.
“He wouldn’t ever tell me,” Hardy said. “He’s 16, you know what I mean? He told me what I’m getting right or wrong.”
Rather than outright praise or criticism, Hardy revealed that Louis provides feedback in a constructive and helpful manner, aimed at helping his father improve his craft.
“That doesn’t mean he doesn’t back me or support me or look out for me, and offer information that’s useful in order to be better with what I do,” Hardy explained.
The “Mad Max: Fury Road” star described how Louis deconstructs his performances from the perspective of a peer, saying, “He deconstructs what I’m doing like a peer would.”
Despite the blunt critiques from his son, Hardy seems to appreciate the honest feedback, considering it valuable for his growth as an actor.
In other news, Hardy is set to lead the cast of the upcoming film “The Bikeriders,” a stylish look at a rebellious Midwest motorcycle club in the 1960s and 1980s, which hits UK cinemas on June 21.
