Christina Applegate, known for shows like Married with Children, recently opened up about experiencing depression after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). On her podcast, she described feeling trapped in a dark period of depression that she hasn’t experienced in over 20 years.
“I don’t enjoy living. I don’t enjoy things anymore,” Applegate shared candidly. She mentioned booking an appointment with her therapist, which was a big step for her.
Applegate was diagnosed with MS in 2021. She avoided therapy initially because she was afraid of crying and used humor to make others comfortable about her medical condition.
On her podcast, Applegate talks about everything and recently revealed she turned down an opportunity to star inThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I was asked to be a Housewife for Beverly Hills,” Applegate said on theMeSsypodcast she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler. “They asked me to be one, probably ten years ago, I would say.”
Despite her struggles, Applegate continues to share her journey openly with listeners, shedding light on the challenges of living with a chronic illness and its impact on mental health.
