‘Ted Lasso’ Star Stands Up to Photographer’s Inappropriate Request on Red Carpet
Famous actress Hannah Waddingham, known for her role in the hit show ‘Ted Lasso’, had a tense moment with a photographer at a recent awards show in London.
Waddingham was hosting the Olivier Awards, the UK’s top theater awards, when a photographer allegedly asked her to “show” her leg while she was posing for pictures on the red carpet. Fans who witnessed the incident captured the moment Waddingham confronted the photographer.
“Oh my god, you’d never say that to a man, my friend,” Waddingham said, calling out the inappropriate request. She warned the photographer that she would move away if they repeated the request, adding, “Don’t say ‘show me your leg.'”
The crowd cheered as Waddingham walked off, shaking her head before turning back to say, “Have some manners.”
Waddingham has become a popular host for major events, particularly after her successful stint hosting last year’s Eurovision Song Contest. She has also received several Olivier nominations throughout her career, and won an Emmy award for her role in ‘Ted Lasso’.
This year’s Olivier Awards saw other big winners, including ‘Succession’ star Sarah Snook and singer Nicole Scherzinger, who both took home acting awards. Scherzinger’s win was one of seven for the musical ‘Sunset Boulevard’, which set a new record at the ceremony.
