Actress Rebecca Ferguson made headlines back in February when she revealed that a famous co-star had once “screamed” at her on a movie set. Now, she’s opened up about the impact this incident had on her and her colleagues.
The 40-year-old Dune: Part Two actress sent fans into a frenzy as she recounted the unnamed actor’s terrible behavior. She said she felt “no one” was on her side during this upsetting experience, as the unknown star was “number one on the call sheet.”
Ferguson quickly clarified that the co-star was neither Hugh Jackman, whom she worked with on The Greatest Showman, nor her long-time Mission: Impossible co-star Tom Cruise.
Emily Blunt’s representative also stepped in to shut down any speculation, insisting that the two actresses are friends and there is “nothing but love between them.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ferguson’s co-star in the 2014 film Hercules, also seemed to distance himself from the situation, praising Ferguson as his “guardian angel sent from heaven on set.”
Ferguson said she was not expecting the massive reaction to her interview, but admitted she “kind of enjoyed the grab.” She explained that the point of the interview was to discuss instances in her career where she was treated poorly, and how that impacted her decisions and well-being.
The actress also revealed that the situation affected her long list of co-stars, with many of them reaching out to her, surprised by the revelation.
