In an exclusive interview with the DailyMail, Drea De Matteo, known for her iconic roles in “The Sopranos” and “Sons of Anarchy,” shared her deeply personal journey of how embracing OnlyFans became a beacon of hope during her most challenging moments.
At 52 years old, the actress revealed her harrowing financial situation, disclosing that she was teetering on the edge of financial collapse, left with a mere $10 in her bank account and the looming threat of losing her home. Matteo’s career in Hollywood had stalled due to her principled stance against COVID-19 vaccine mandates, plunging her into dire circumstances.
“OnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent. I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it really did save us.” she emphasized, reflecting on the choice to join the platform. Faced with the imminent risk of losing her home and the weight of family responsibilities, Matteo found herself at a crossroads, compelled to explore unconventional avenues for financial stability.
“Anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids.”
She shares a son and daughter with her former partner, musician Shooter Jennings.
Matteo’s heartfelt account reveals the number of challenges she faced, from navigating the loss of her mother to shouldering the responsibilities of single parenthood. In the midst of adversity, she turned to OnlyFans, a decision that not only provided financial relief but also offered emotional transformation.
Initially hesitant about sharing racy photos on OnlyFans, De Matteo needed some time to adjust to the idea. However, once she committed, she quickly witnessed a significant influx of income. “I kept adding more pictures,” she recounted. “I was amazed. Within five minutes, I was able to settle the debt with [the real estate company] that was overseeing the sale of my house.”
Within moments of debuting on the platform, Matteo experienced a surge in support, generating enough income to settle her mortgage and secure her home.
