The 2024 Emmys were a star studded night, and so far one of the best award shows of the season. Host Anthony Anderson made the most of the stage as host, also employing his mother to keep time for winners’ speeches. Nominations were dominated by Succession, The Bear, and The White Lotus, with Beef sprawling itself in the Limited series categories.
Succession continues its award streak, winning six Primetime Emmys. The show lead in all of its Drama categories, in acting, direction, and writing. The same was for The Bear for Comedy categories, and Beef in the Limited Series ones.
Quinta Brunson created history by being the first African-American woman to win Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Kieran Culkin and Pedro Pascal resumed their ongoing (informal) tiff, with the former beating Pascal for Best Actor.
