Admirers of The Bear are getting their hands on the third season far sooner than anticipated. The popular television show centres on Jeremy Allen White’s character, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a distinguished chef who transforms a sandwich store kitchen into an elegant eatery.
White provided some insight on when fans might anticipate Season 3 of The Bear in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. The third season of the show was renewed by FX previously in November. This June, the second season premiered. “I think they’ve written a couple of scripts. I have not read any,” White stated. “I think they’ve written a couple of scripts. I have not read any.” He also added, “I do know in January I’m going to spend a fair amount of time getting together with some chefs. And I know that I’m going to start putting together [the titular restaurants] menu with different chefs and cooking and just trying to get prepared to do more of that stuff on camera.”
In addition, White admits that “for the second season, so much of it was about putting the restaurant together, so there wasn’t much cooking.” He continued, “But now, in the third season, I think we’re going to go back to that functioning kitchen atmosphere that we had in the first.” Although the official release date has not yet been disclosed by FX, the network has assured fans that the third season will debut in 2024.
