Actress Florence Pugh suffered an attack by someone in a very strange incident whilst she was going about her business and participating in a panel discussion for her new movie Dune: Part Two at a Comic-Con event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Everybody was caught off guard when Florence was struck by a thing that struck her eye. Florence is shown in evident horror as something flies at her in a video from the event. Before reaching for the weapon that was used to harm her, she covers the injured eye with her hand. Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, and Zendaya—her co-stars in the upcoming movie Dune: Part Two—were spotted seated next to Florence. At the time of the occurrence, the panelists were debating the movie.
This was not an isolated occurrence; rather, it is part of a troubling pattern in which fans toss items at celebrities, frequently striking and injuring them with strange objects. The incident began with musicians as fans threw items, such as phones, at them while they were performing live. Actors are now experiencing this as well. This transpired shortly after Florence Pugh expressed her enthusiasm for participating in the panel discussion for Dune 2. “I had an amazing time coming in and just hanging around with these people, let alone actually getting to work with them. Coming in here — the power in this room — is because of that first movie, and we felt that when we went on set every single day. So it feels really, really special being here with the second one.”
