Sebastian Stan will play a youthful Donald Trump in a film directed by Ali Abbasi. This week marked the start of principal photography for The Apprentice, which stars Jeremy Strong and Maria Bakalova among its ensemble cast. According to media sources, the movie centers on Trump as he established his real estate company in New York City during the 1970s and 1980s.
Gabriel Sherman’s script is being directed by Abbasi (Holy Spider). Russell Crowe appeared in Showtime’s 2019 miniseries The Loudest Voice, which was based on Sherman’s memoir of Fox News founder Roger Ailes, The Loudest Voice in the Room.
The Apprentice is a mentor-protégé story that explores concepts of authority, nepotism, and deceit while chronicling the beginning of an American kingdom.
