Dwayne Johnson announced on Instagram that his team would be contacting Grévin Museum to make modifications following the internet’s harsh mockery of the museum’s wax replica of the actor. Deadline was informed by the museum that the waxwork will be “remedied” as soon as feasible. A video featuring comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. ridiculing the statue was shared by Johnson. Jefferson claimed that The Rock seemed to be a “pebble,” David Beckham, and a member of the British royal family in the Paris museum.
“Is this how y’all felt when you lost the Little Mermaid?” Jefferson jested. Oops, that seemed really out of the realm of sarcasm. Johnson stated, “I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France 🇫🇷 so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color. And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself.”
“Dwayne Johnson is right and we noticed it and will obviously remedy it as quickly as possible and send him new photos once completed.“We are waiting for him when he will come to Paris and the Grevin Wax Museum to celebrate that with a cup of champagne,” the Grévin Museum wrote in an email.
