In the latest issue of People magazine, Chris Evans wed actress Alba Baptista on Saturday at a private residence on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Additionally to Evans’ “The Avengers” co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner, as well as John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, the bride and groom’s family attended the event. The affair was “locked down tight,” claims insiders who talked to Page Six; guests signed NDAs and turned over their phones prior to the wedding.
The connection between Evans and Baptista first came to light around November 2022, when People said the two had been dating for “over a year.”According to a source familiar with the “Gifted” actor, “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”
Portuguese actress Baptista played the title role in the Netflix series “Warrior Nun” from 2020 to 2022. She was recognized with a Shooting Star Award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2021 and starred in the stylish period comedy “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” the previous year. In a 2022 “Sexiest Man of the Year” interview, Evans said to People that he was looking forward to starting a family in the future.
He shared his thoughts on starting a family, “That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family, When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
