The ongoing changes in the DC Studios has resulted in surprising news about the development of ‘Wonder Woman 3’ by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Gal Gadot in the promotion of her forthcoming action movie, “Heart of Stone,” admitted to the discussions of development of ‘Wonder Woman 3’ from the newly appointed bosses of DC universe. In the interview with ComicBook.com, she revealed her opinions on the possible third movie, ““I love portraying Wonder Woman,” she said about her role. “It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.”
Gadot first debuted as ‘Wonder Woman’ in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in Zack Synder’s DC cosmos. After then, she portrayed the role of ‘Wonder Woman,’ in her two leading films “Wonder Woman” and “Wonder Woman 1984.” Gadot’s Wonder Woman also appears in “Justice League” and made appearances in DC flicks such as “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.” Gadot’s leading Wonder Woman films were directed by Patty Jenkins. Last December when Jenkits exited the DC universe, it was finally taken up by new heads, Peter Safran and James Gunn. Shortly after Gunn and Safran took over DC Studios and announced their plans to restructure the DC Universe, resulting in speculation that Jenkins had turned down efforts to rework “Wonder Woman 3” to fit within the DC Universe.
Jenkins also tweeted in twitter regarding her exit from DC. She stated in the tweet, “I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.” Gunn aided her comment by saying, “I can attest that all of Peter and my interactions with you were only pleasant and professional.”
James Gunn and Peter Safran as DC heads are debuting with the upcoming “Superman: Legacy” in 2025. The movie will be directed by Gunn and David Corenswet will be portraying the role of Superman in the new DC cosmos. Gal Gadot was asked by ComicBook.com about her outlook in the newly branded cast of superman. She replied, “I saw that they were testing, doing different screen tests, but I don’t know who got it, but it seemed like everyone was super legit and talented and, like, great. So I’m happy for them. It’s such a huge take-on and it’s such an exciting beginning to any actor, and I wish whoever it’s going to be the best of luck and enjoy the ride.”
