The actor also revealed that after the film’s premiere, he obtained a job selling Churros at the zoo. American Pie, an adolescent comedy film released in 1999, was a box office smash at the time. William Scott commented on his peanuts paycheck from American Pie from portraying the role of an American lascivious teenager. As per Huffpost, in an interview with The Rich Eisen Show, ““That was a lot of money at the time for me,” Scott said. “I remember afterwards I bought a used Thunderbird for like five grand … I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, baby.” According to Scott, that $8,000 was a huge amount during that time. He admitted “ended up having to work at the LA Zoo as a churro guy, so maybe it was even less than eight grand.” However, the American Pie sequels went on to earn a whopping $235 million worldwide. Moreover with the American Reunion being a phenomenal hit in 2012, the actor earned a cascading amount of $5 million.
Scott revealed in a recent interview with comicbook.com gave hints for the potential of a fifth sequel. He stated, “We have to have a great idea, and especially these days, it has to be awesome. You know, comedy is tough and they always have been tough.”
