Director Olivia Wilde reveals a lot about her upcoming new venture. So basically this film is about the fact that there’s a household set in the 1950s of a housewife living with her husband in a highly experimental community who begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.
Nonetheless, director Olivia Wilde just made an amazing contribution by giving it a neo-noir look by using some elements from Aldous Huxley’s brave new world.
Florence Pugh and Harry Styles get hot and heavy in the first look from their upcoming movie, Don’t Worry Darling. Things in the teaser take a dark turn very quickly and at the same time it resembles a form of hamartia like something from Vigril or Aristophanes.
Combining clips of charming 1950s imagery with intense footage of Pugh and Styles in an embrace, as well as a rather unfortunate encounter with some plastic wrap, the teaser buries itself under your skin, all set to Pugh singing some kind of ominous song is something which might seem something similar to a play by Homer.
Anyway back to the teaser, Wilde is also set to star in the film in addition to directing, with Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, Dita Von Teese, Timothy Simons, Ari’el Stachel, and Kate Berlant also attached to star. The credit for conceptualization and scripting goes to Carey and Shane Van Dyke apart from that it is being produced by Van Dyke and Wilde together. It’s set to release on September 23rd, 2022.
