The all-time favourite man, Seth Rogen released a book titled “yearbook” which has gotten him into limelight once again. Rogen’s latest headline making statements has to be that related to the Cancel Culture; internet’s absolute favourite!
Seth Rogen was seen on the popular show ‘good morning Britain’ where cancel culture topic was popped up particularly for the comedian tangent to which he bluntly said that comedians need to gracefully accept that sometimes a joke or even a set can age poorly.
Rogen further says that he believes that some jokes have not aged well but that’s the nature of comedy at the end of the day. Some movies do well and people enjoy watching them even when the joke does not last the longest.
He made a bold statement ,saying, To me, it’s not worth complaining about to the degree I see other comedians complaining about. I was never a comedian that made jokes that were truly designed to target groups that were subjugated in some way. Have we done that without realizing it? Definitely. And those things are in our movies and they’re out there, and they’re things that I am more than happy to say that they have not aged well.”
While on the show he also shared his personal story “But in my Twitter, I’ve never made a joke that’s outwardly horrific in some way, and if you have, I would question why you did that,” Rogen concluded. “Saying terrible things is bad, so if you’ve said something terrible, then it’s something you should confront in some way, shape, or form. I don’t think that’s cancel culture. That’s you saying something terrible if that’s what you’ve done.”
Cancel culture has always been delicate!
