Actor, the singer, and rapper Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, believes the culture of cancellation is creating movies and TV series “Boring”. The declaration was given on Twitter after the artist noticed users of social networks complaining about how tired they are of watching current productions.
“We are getting boring things and not even ‘experimental errors’ because people are afraid of being canceled,” wrote Glover in one of the tweets (check all, in order, below). “Thus, they feel that they can only experiment with aesthetics. Or because some of them (producers) know that they are not so good ”.

Known for the hits’ 3005 ‘,’ Redbone ‘and’ This is America ‘, as well as performances in’ Han Solo: A Story Star Wars’,’ Lion King ‘(2019) and’ Community ‘, Donald Glover is currently working on the development of the third and fourth seasons of his acclaimed comedy series’ Atlanta’. The creator, writer, director and star of the production was supposed to start filming in 2020, but the covid-19 pandemic delayed the project, and now, new episodes will probably premiere only in 2022.
Currently, the cast of the series is recording in various locations around the world, such as London, Amsterdam, Paris and, of course, Atlanta. Joining Glover, the return of the original cast is more than guaranteed, including Brian Tyree Henry (‘The Eternals’), Lakeith Stanfield (‘Judas and the Black Messiah’) and Zazie Beetz ‘ (Deadpool).
All that could be said for now is that it’s really good that somebody realises the potential impact that culture of cancellation has.
