The writers and creators (Spellman will co-write the script with Dalan Musson, a staff writer onFalcon and the Winter Soldier) of Disney+ and Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are developing a fourth part of the Captain America film franchise for Marvel Studios. There are no details on the casting of this project.
Spellman, a former co-EP of Fox’s Empire, has tackled many of the present-day Trump-era issues including anti-immigration, domestic, and terrorism, #BLM in his story of Sam Wilson’s Falcon and Bucky Barnes Winter Soldier. The show also had a huge crew of or nearly assembled all Black writers for the series.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier had one of the biggest premiers in Disney+ history (1.7m), beating Wanda Vision (1.6m).
After the ending of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it has opened a lot of possibilities for the return of the OG Captain America (Chris Evans), As fans/experts have been teasing the beloved actor’s return as Captain America for a long time. But for now, we can confirm that there is a huge possibility for the continuation of the story of Sam Wilson (Falcon) story played by Anthony Mackie.
No director is attached, and Evans’ involvement/return remains unconfirmed, And yeah Marvel wasn’t available for comment…
In the past Captain America movies always has been a huge moneymaker at the box office with two movies grossing more than 500 million and Civil War grossing more than 1 billion, so we don’t think there would be any hesitation for the studios to greenlit the fourth project..
